8.2 Perform Quality Assurance

Process Definition

Quality Assurance performs auditing functions to determine if the deliverables conform to the specified standard. The specified standard is based on the defined requirements. Tests are performed to determine if the deliverable is within a tolerance range. Based on the tests the quality processes implemented are open to process improvement through analysis.

Process Assessment

Quality Assurance checks to see if the deliverables conform to the quality requirements. If the deliverables are out of scope all the processes are examined to determine what process or processes are out of control and measures are designed to correct those processes to bring the deliverable to specifications. In my opinion a key to success.
