12.2 Conduct Procurements

Process Definition

Conducting procurement s entails putting out a Request For Proposal a selecting a seller who best meets the request for proposal requirements by awarding the seller a contract.  The contract solidifies the terms of the agreement and set out certain performance criteria which both parties must abide by.

 Process Assessment

Procurement of materials and resources from sellers through contract spells out requirements and specifications in the form of a Request for Proposal. In this way, the buyer clearly defines the conditions and terms of the agreement, which the seller must abide by to qualify and provide a proposal plan, or contract, which fulfills the requirements.
