13.3 Manage Stakeholder Engagement

Process Definition

Stakeholder engagement is a process of executing the stakeholder management plan through verbal, nonverbal, and written communications to actively provide objective data as requested and in the form specified by the stakeholder. The project manager oversees and encourages active constructive dialogue, which pertains to project issues throughout the project life cycle.

 Process Assessment Stakeholder engagement is a vigorous process of encouraging stakeholders to share and contribute to the betterment of the project. Having an active stakeholder base improves communications interactions conducive to improving defined requirements addressing issues seeking expert advice thus creating ownership of the deliverable.
