9.4 Manage Project Team
Process Definition
Project Team management governs and influences the culture and norms of a team. The primary objective encourage collaboration, participation, and development of teamwork. This process tracks team performance delivers feedback and resolves internal conflicts. Augments and develops individual and team development through training and certifications.
Process Assessment
Team development expands the capabilities and improves team morale. Creating a team cheer or team identity promotes unity. Managers who manage teams create opportunities to develop and augment personal and team growth. Recognizing and rewarding team accomplishments such as a plaque or a bonus promotes teamwork. Developing a participatory team requires communication. In team settings, a daily stand-up accomplishes a method to communicate team project status and opens up the floor to resolve project issues in a team format. Communication is the foundation for promoting and solving project and team issues.
