6.6 Develop Schedule
Process Definition
This process creates a working schedule, which ties in activity duration, estimates and resources along with documenting project constraints and determining project activity relationships between task activities.
Process Assessment
This process creates a baseline. The baseline is used to measure the actual against the projected. This is a great tool to track variance and track project progress and analyze possible what-if scenarios.
Develop Schedule
6.6.1
Input
This short schedule created in PGMT 501, project Landscape design is an input to further develop the project from the Request for proposal after the selection and approval of a contractor. The contractor develops a schedule to meet the scope requirement specifications adhering to all scope constraints.
6.6.2
Tools and Techniques
Microsoft Project is a tool utilized to implement a technique of compression as seen in this project schedule of the bicycle project in PGMT 614, of running tasks in parallel and extending the work week to Saturday and redefining the predecessors to shorten duration and cost of the project.
6.6.3
Outputs
In PGMT 614, the bicycle project this is the original baseline schedule output designed before compression of the bicycle project. The new compressed schedule redefines the baseline.
