6.7 Control Schedule
Process Definition
Control Schedule process monitors the progress of a project. Updates the schedule milestones and deliverables purposes get well plans if the project falls behind. Re-calibrates the schedule baseline and proposes plans to bring the schedule back online such as schedule compression.
Process Assessment
One quick way to access, the health of a project schedule develop a dashboard, which depicts the status online and updates as the project progresses. Online updating cuts down on the paper trails and shifts the responsibility to project teams to report schedule status online. The dashboard status would inform all teams of the progress of the project. This would also give the Control Schedule team real-time information to identify bottlenecks and make get-well schedules.
