12.4 Close Procurements
Process Definition
Close Procurement s a process of completing each procurement by ensuring contractual agreements are completed or terminated (PMBOK, 2013, p. 386). Performing all legal functions necessary in the litigation of unresolved claims. Performing administrative functions of updating records addressing and closing legal documents as applicable to the Close Project or Phase process with the final payment of open claims and archiving all information about archiving project documents for future reference (PMBOK, 2013, p.387). Furthermore, Close Procurements supports the activities and functions of Close Project or Phase by performing all legal contractual duties necessary such as taking care of early termination of contracts and premature procurement closure by instituting the necessary legal language in contracts for early termination.
Process Assessment
Project closure entails all the little details to terminate contracts record payouts and archive all project documents in connection with the project.
